Working Day

Saturday 10th May 2008

We held a working day down at the Mill on Saturday 10th May as there were quite a few jobs that needed to be done.

We arranged the date and circulated to parents to get some extra help with the jobs.

On the day we had 6 leaders, 4 dads, 1 scout and 1 cub and got most of the jobs done that we wanted to.

The 4 dads and scout finished sanding our storage container and gave it two coats of paint, it was good to get it changed from bright yellow to a green which blends in with the surroundings.

The leaders gave the grass on the front and back fields a cut, along with repairing the alter fires with the help of the cub, planted trees, did some general tidying up inside and lifted the broken paving stones and replaced them.

A big thank you goes to those who helped out on the day, if it had been left to the leaders we wouldn't of got the jobs done in a day.
