Scout Camp

Our first scout camp of the year took place during the bank holiday weekend at the start of May 2008.

The weather forecast didn't look great for the weekend, but we ended up with fantastic weather apart from the Sunday night when we have showers of rain.

Ten scouts attended the camp where they continued to work towards their Outdoor and Outdoor plus challenge badges.

There was a good mix of scouts, with some experienced ones being at their 8th or 9th camp and some who were at scout camp for the very first time.

We tried to do as much as we could including cooking outdoors, we had two patrols - "The Salty Sea Dogs" and "The Commandeers" who both had to set up their patrol tent, hike tent and camp kitchens around the alter fires on the site.
