Centenary Fair
On Saturday 17th May we held a centenary fair on Norton Village Green.
We had many stalls on the day including Books, Toys & Games, Cakes, Bric-a-Brac,
Tombola, Raffle, Hot Dogs and many games, all being run by leaders,
parenst and ex-members who had offered to help out.
We also had some birds of prey, which people could have their
photographs taken with.
There was a tent pitching competition, which was open to all other
groups in the district but only one other group turned up, So we had a
competition between two cub teams from 1st Norton and 1st Long Newton,
and three scout teams all from 1st Norton.
Despite the bad weather on the day and not much passing trade, we still
managed to raise over £600 for Group Funds.
